Discomfort and Shame – Chronic Yeast Infections
Almost all women are exposed to a yeast infection at some point in their lives. Some of the causes of chronic Candida are completely natural. While the majority of women do deal with this infection, it does not lessen how embarrassing it is when you find out that you have one. They do not tell people about this problem and they deal with it privately.
There are some natural remedies that can be used to remove this problem but they do take some time. Yeast is common in every woman's body, no matter how healthy they are. The problem comes when the yeast begins to grow out of control. When this occurs, looking at the remedies that have been proven to be effective is the best choice. Some are very easy and others can seem to be fairly difficult.
The first thing you can do is remove any of the factors that are most obvious. If you have recently started taking oral contraceptives and have since noticed that you are experiencing the signs of a yeast infection, it is time to change your approach to birth control. The hormones in the vagina are often altered when a woman takes an oral contraceptive and this can cause yeast to grow there.
There are other things to consider that may reduce the likelihood that you will experience chronic yeast infections. Completely avoid wearing tight fitting cotton underwear. Be sure not to wear wet clothing or bathing suits for too long. Only take antibiotics when it is prescribed by your physician. If you are diabetic you should do all that you can to keep your blood sugar levels at a controlled level. Once you have inhaled your oral steroid to help with your asthma, completely rinse out your mouth.
An easier way to treat your Chronic Candida is to keep a record of how often you are facing this problem. If you seem to have multiple infections, ask your sexual partner to get treatment as well. Some people do not show any of the signs of the infection but they are still infected. If they are willing to be treated as well, you can prevent yourself from being reinfected. If they are not going to take the treatment then it is a great idea to use a condom for any future sexual encounters.
Another proven way to fight chronic yeast infections is to make alterations to your diet. When you have a diet that is filled with fungus, vinegars, fermented foods, and sugars you are giving the yeast a place to thrive. When you stop eating these types of foods you are reducing the environment that yeast thrives in. Any processed foods that are made from white rice, white flower or any other yeast filled items should be avoided. You should avoid sugar at all costs. Mushrooms and vinegar should also be avoided. Alcohol is something else that you should avoid when you are making these changes to your diet. When you follow these rules strictly you will be drastically reducing the amount of time that it takes to see results.
Many people have begun to use acidophilus to help them remove the quick growing yeast that seems to be taking over their bodies. Your digestive track is the home for this natural, positive form of bacteria. When you have an increased level of this good bacteria in your body you will be working against the candida that seems to be taking over. When you are given an antibiotic by your doctor, be sure to follow up with a dose of acidophilus so that the antibiotic does not cause the candida to grow.
It is very tricky to beat chronic yeast infections. There is no instant treatment available currently so be prepared to follow the natural remedies exactly so that your recovery time is lessened.
